Trading rules

The rules, in plain English.

Last updated October 29, 2026

Every number for every plan, and how each rule works.

Overview

These are the trading rules for every Avenor Markets evaluation and funded account. They form part of the Terms of Use. Every account is simulated: trades never reach a live market, and payouts are performance rewards paid by Avenor Markets based on simulated results.

Avenor offers one account size, $50K, in two markets (futures and perps) and three plans in each market: Swift, Glide and Soar. The plan you buy sets your profit target, drawdown, daily loss limit, consistency rule, position size, profit split and payout caps. Everything else on this page applies to every plan unless it says otherwise.

The short version. Hit the profit target without touching your drawdown floor, follow the consistency rule, trade like you would with real money, and request payouts on demand once you are eligible.

Futures evaluation

Futures evaluations trade CME Group futures. You pass when your balance reaches the profit target, you have traded at least the minimum number of days, and your best day is within the plan's consistency share. There is no time limit and no activation fee.

  • Trading day. A trading day follows the CME Globex session, which ends at 17:00 ET. A day counts toward the minimum when you place at least one trade in it.
  • Flat by 16:50 ET. All futures positions must be closed by 16:50 ET each trading day. Positions open at that time are closed for you. No overnight or weekend positions.
  • News trading is allowed.
  • Max position is the most contracts you may hold at once, counted in minis, with 10 micros equal to 1 mini.

Futures funded accounts and payouts

When you pass and complete identity verification, you activate your $50K funded account on the same plan with a one-time activation fee: $149 on Swift and Glide, $179 on Soar. The fee is charged only after you pass, is never discounted, and your evaluation converts into the funded account as soon as it is paid. Perps plans have no activation fee. Funded accounts keep the plan's drawdown, daily loss limit and position size.

When you can request a payout

  • Your balance is at least $52,100 (the starting balance plus a $2,100 buffer), and
  • the current payout cycle has 3 winning days of $200 or more, and
  • no single day in the cycle is more than 40% of the cycle's profit (funded consistency), and
  • you have no open positions when you request.

How much you can request

  • Only profit made since your last payout can be withdrawn. The $2,100 buffer always stays in the account.
  • The minimum request is $250. Each request is limited by your plan's payout cap (see the table above): one cap for payouts 1 to 3 and a higher cap from payout 4 on.
  • Your share is the plan's profit split: 90% on Swift and Glide, 80% on Soar.

On-demand processing

Request any day once you are eligible. A request that passes review is paid the same business day. The amount is deducted from the account when you request; a new cycle starts after each request. After the fifth payout on one account, that account goes to a promotion review.

Perps evaluation

Perps evaluations trade perpetual futures, which are open 24/7. You pass when your balance reaches the profit target without touching your drawdown floor or, on plans that have one, your daily loss limit. There is no time limit and no activation fee.

Loading the plan table. If it does not appear, turn on JavaScript or contact support@avenormarkets.com.
  • Percentages are of the $50,000 starting balance: 1% is $500.
  • Hard daily loss limit. On Glide (3%) and Soar (4%), reaching the daily loss limit ends the account.
  • Funding. Perpetual positions held at a market's funding time are charged or credited funding. Funding counts toward your balance, profit target, payout target and drawdown.

Perps funded accounts and payouts

  • On demand. Request a payout once your balance reaches the 5% payout target above the cycle's starting balance. There is no buffer and no winning-day requirement.
  • Flat at request. Close every position before you request.
  • 100% profit split, up to the plan's cap per request: Swift $750, Glide $1,125, Soar $1,200.
  • Up to 4 payouts per account, and $50,000 in total perps payouts per trader.
  • A request that passes review is paid the same business day.

Drawdown, explained

Your drawdown floor is the lowest your account may go. If your balance, including the profit or loss on open positions, touches the floor at any time, the account fails. There are two kinds.

End-of-day trailing

The floor starts at the starting balance minus the plan's drawdown. After each trading day closes, if your end-of-day balance is a new high, the floor moves up to that high minus the drawdown. It never moves down, and intraday highs do not move it. On futures, the floor stops trailing once it reaches $50,100 and stays there.

Example: futures Swift ($2,000 drawdown).

  1. Day 1 starts at $50,000. The floor is $48,000.
  2. Day 1 closes at $50,600, a new high. The floor moves to $48,600.
  3. Day 2 reaches $51,400 during the session but closes at $50,900. The floor moves to $48,900, based on the close, not the intraday high.
  4. Day 3 closes lower at $50,300. The floor stays at $48,900. It never moves down.
  5. Later, a day closes at $52,100 or higher. The floor reaches $50,100 and stops trailing for good.

Static

The floor is fixed at the starting balance minus the drawdown and never moves. Example: perps Glide (4% static) has a floor of $48,000 for the life of the account, however high the balance goes.

Daily loss limit

The daily loss limit is measured from the balance at the start of the trading day, including open profit and loss.

  • Futures Swift: $1,200, soft. Reaching it closes your positions and ends trading for the rest of that day. The account stays open, and you trade again the next day.
  • Futures Glide and Soar: no daily loss limit.
  • Perps Swift: no daily loss limit.
  • Perps Glide (3%) and Soar (4%): hard. Reaching it ends the account.

Consistency

Consistency rules make sure a pass or a payout reflects repeatable trading rather than one outsized day.

Evaluation consistency (futures)

Your best single day may be at most the plan's share of your total profit when you pass: 40% on Swift, 50% on Glide, none on Soar. A large day does not fail the account; you keep trading until your total profit is large enough. Example on Swift: if your best day is $1,500, you pass once your total profit is at least $3,750, because $1,500 is 40% of $3,750.

Funded consistency (futures)

In a payout cycle, no single day may be more than 40% of the cycle's profit. If one day is above that share, the request waits until more profit in the cycle brings that day within 40%.

Short-trade rule

On funded futures accounts, if more than 30% of a day's trades last under 5 seconds, the profit from that day's profitable short trades is removed from payouts. The account is not failed. This keeps payouts tied to trading that would be realistic in a live market.

Accounts and copy trading

  • One person, one set of accounts. Every account must belong to, and be traded only by, the verified account holder.
  • Up to 10 funded accounts at a time per trader. If you pass an evaluation while you already hold ten funded accounts, the new funded account waits until a slot opens.
  • Copy trading is allowed across up to 5 of your own accounts at a time, using the same direction on each.

Prohibited conduct

The following are not allowed on any account. Breaking these rules can lead to removal of profits, denial of payouts and closure of every account involved.

  • Hedging across accounts: holding opposite or offsetting positions in the same or closely related instruments across your accounts, or with another trader's accounts.
  • Account sharing or third-party trading: letting anyone else trade your account, trading someone else's account, or using a paid account-passing service.
  • Multiple identities: opening accounts under another person's name, or using several identities to get around account limits or payout caps.
  • Coordinated trading: acting together with other traders to place opposing or mirrored trades that move risk between accounts.
  • Exploiting the simulation: taking advantage of price errors, stale or delayed data, latency, fills that would not happen in a live market, or platform faults.
  • Gaming the rules: strategies whose purpose is to pass or reach payouts through the rules rather than through trading, such as all-or-nothing bets sized to hit the target or the floor in one move.
  • Payment abuse: chargebacks or payment disputes on fees for services you received.

Payout review and identity

  • You must complete identity verification (KYC) before your first payout. The name on your verified identity must match your account and payout method.
  • Every request is reviewed against these rules. A clean request is paid the same business day. A request that needs more review may take longer, and we will tell you why.
  • Payouts are performance rewards paid at Avenor's discretion under these rules. A request that breaks a rule may be reduced or denied, and a serious or repeated violation closes the account.
  • You are responsible for any taxes on payouts you receive.

Changes to these rules

We may update these rules. Changes apply to evaluations bought after the change is published, unless a change is needed to stop abuse or comply with law. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Questions go to support@avenormarkets.com.
